About this grant
The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Bogota announces an open competition to implement "Mi Tierra, Mi Triunfo: Colombians Thriving After Their Return," a media production initiative documenting the experiences of Colombians who voluntarily returned to Colombia after living in the United States, or who chose to remain in Colombia and build successful lives despite economic, security, or social pressures to migrate. The program will produce short-form digital video profiles and written testimonials, with potential for a longer-form documentary, distributed through Embassy platforms and Colombian media outlets. Content will be non-political, community-sourced, and rooted in authentic personal storytelling — emphasizing resilience, purpose, and opportunity available in Colombia. This program directly advances the Administration's priority of reducing irregular migration to the United States at the source, consistent with Executive Order 14287, while strengthening the Mission's public diplomacy engagement with Colombian audiences in high-emigration regions.
